Did you know that Affordable Industry Training now not only teaches students to drive in trucks and various plant machinery tickets, but now delivers Certificate 2 in Resources and Infrastructure Work Preparation? We are now conducting classes on a simulated mine site throughout Brisbane and FNQ. We deliver high quality training with professional, experienced trainers in all our courses. We are offering students an opportunity to upskill or learn a new skill to help them gain employment or use this course as a pathway qualification in which will prepare an individual to successfully undertake a sector specified Certificate III from the Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package or a pathway into an Australian Apprenticeship or employment.

We have found that students who completed the course had a much higher chance in gaining employment with this qualification. We have also found that potential employers can see the commitment in the job seeker to this course. Attending on time daily, completing the course, taking direction from the trainer and achieving a great outcome.

All Training Materials, Resources And Safety Equipment Supplied.

At Affordable Industry Training, you’ll be working towards your Certificate II qualification with a team of friendly, fully-accredited assessors and trainers that have years of accumulated experience they’ll put to excellent use. We issue you with a nationally recognised qualification certificate on completion of the course.

We are happy to announce that we now have Qld Government Funding, as a Skills Assure provider in this course to help students complete this course. If eligible, the student or a 3rd party only need to pay co- contribution fee of $36 for non-concessional or $18 for concessional holders. Or $4.00 per unit for Non concessional or $2.00 per unit for concession holders. What great news for students wanting to gain a certificate II. This is under the Certificate 3 Guarantee Program.

This qualification reflects the roles of individuals who perform mainly routine tasks and procedures, using limited practical skills and fundamental operational knowledge, and taking some responsibility for the quality of the work outcomes.

We offer Face-to-Face delivery. There are 9 units making up this qualification. We have structured the course to offer a mixture of theory and practical units. You will obtain either- EXCAVATOR OPERATIONS, SKID STEER OPERATIONS, FRONT END LOADER OR ROLLER and RIIWHS204E- WORK SAFELY AT HEIGHTS .

We also offer RPL (recognition of prior learning) courses for this qualification.

COURSE DURATION

Courses are commencing every for 2 weeks. Day course starts at 7am – 4pm Monday- Friday (9 days)

The course is all competency based and let’s students gain a new skill set.

PREREQUISITES

e a Queensland resident

Be aged 15 years or over, and no longer at school (with the exception of VET in Schools students)

• Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident (including humanitarian entrants), or a temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency benefit. Additional opportunities will be considered on a case-by-case basis, upon request by a prospective student.

• Not hold, or not be enrolled in, a certificate III level or higher qualification (not including qualifications completed at school and foundations skills training).

CERTIFICATE 3 GUARANTEE PROGRAM FUNDING

To be eligible to access the Certificate 3 Guarantee you must;

be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or an Australian permanent resident (including humanitarian entrants), or a temporary resident with an eligible visa subclass
be 15 years old or over
live in Queensland and have left school*
not already have, or be enrolled in, a certificate III level or higher qualification.
